Fantastic work to all of our Vermont National Guard Airmen and Soldiers who competed at the 2023 WPW Small Arms Championship in Arkansas!

The Vermont National Guard ended up placing 4th overall for the All-States Trophy, just off the podium behind Texas, Arkansas and South Dakota. This was a great finish, considering 7 of our 8 shooters had never shot here before. We also had some smaller accomplishments throughout the event, including:
2nd place – Rapid Pistol CQB Team Match
3rd place – Pistol Barricade Team Match
5th place – Movers Rifle Team Match
6th place – Anti-Body Armor Pistol Team Match

Additionally, one of our shooters, TSgt Poirier, performed exceptionally well throughout the week. He finished 3rd overall in the individual pistol aggregate, 5th overall for the individual grand aggregate, and earned his Chief’s 50 Badge in the process. He also won the Pistol Barricade Match outright, beating over 240 other competitors.

Everyone is looking real sharp
