The Vermont Air National Guard's 158th Fighter Wing finalized its conversion from flying the F-16 Fighting Falcon to the F-35A Lightning II over the course of 2022, from South Burlington, Vermont. The conversion makes the 158th FW the Air National Guard's first F-35 wing as well as becoming fully operational, enabling the wing to undertake deployments and operations with the F-35.
