Disarming Danger: VTANG EOD's Dual Mission

Instructors from the North Macedonia army lead their students in a live "blow-in-place" demolition exercise in North Macedonia. The training scenario involved safely destroying munitions where they were found, a critical skill for EOD technicians. This live-fire exercise is a culminating event in the "train the trainer" model established through Vermont's State Partnership Program with North Macedonia. U.S. Airmen from the 158th EOD flight observe and advise during these operations, ensuring Macedonian personnel meet international standards as they work to build a self-sustaining capability to clear the country of explosive remnants of war.
