Disarming Danger: VTANG EOD's Dual Mission
Representatives from North Macedonia’s Protection and Rescue Directorate (PRD), Ministry of Interior (MOI), Ministry of Defence (MOD), and U.S. Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) personnel from the Vermont Air National Guard, pose for a group photo with partners from the Golden West Humanitarian Foundation in North Macedonia. The gathering marks a key engagement in their ongoing EOD partnership. This international collaboration is part of the State Partnership Program focused on helping North Macedonia develop a self-sustaining explosive ordnance disposal capability. Through a "train the trainer" model, Vermont's EOD technicians are helping their Macedonian counterparts build a program to clear the country of tens of thousands of explosive remnants of war, enhancing long-term civilian safety.
