Disarming Danger: VTANG EOD's Dual Mission
A senior Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician from North Macedonia’s Protection and Rescue Directorate (PRD) demonstrates proper ordnance disposal procedures during a partnership event in North Macedonia. The demonstration allows experienced host nation personnel to lead instruction for their newer technicians. This event highlights the success of the "train the trainer" model, a central part of the humanitarian mine action initiative between the Vermont Air National Guard and North Macedonia. By empowering local experts to certify their own personnel, the program is building a fully self-sustaining capability, ensuring North Macedonia can independently manage the safe removal of explosive remnants of war for years to come.
