Hello! My name is TSgt Frank Kneeland and I am very fortunate to say that I get to live, work, and play right here in Northern Vermont. The U.S. Navy, U.S. Army National Guard, and now the VT. Air Guard have taken me all over the world on different assignments but It is a great feeling to always come home to the seasons, the skiing, processing fire wood, maple sugaring, dog walking, bird watching, and all the other natural activities Vermont has to offer. I have attended college courses in many area Vermont colleges and have earned my Associates Degree in Human Resources with the Community College of the Air Force.
My military history is a unique one. I have cruised all over the world in a nuclear submarine, hitting ports in South America, The Panama Canal, the Pacific, and under the Arctic ice. In the VT Army National Guard I was a communications technician for just two years before I decided to come here to the VT Air Guard where I have been since 2002. My experiences here at the Air Guard range from Recruiter, Command & Control technician and First Sergeant. Those positions have taken me on trips and training deployments in Florida, Texas, Nevada, and Hawaii! I even got to assist with the Fly-Over of our 4-ship sortie of F-16’s for the 2004 game one of the World Series at Fenway Park!
You don’t have to be a Red Sox fan to join the VT Air Guard but you do have to let me tell you about how Conan O’Brien bought us hot dogs all night in luxury box seats at Fenway Park!
